This single family home is one of 125 power generator houses that comprise a sustainable community on a south-eastern hillside outside of Portland, Oregon.
The community functions as a power station, a vegetable and fruit farm, and a construction material manufacturing plant.
The houses generate no waste, require a minimal emergency supply of electricity, and are not tied into the water, sewer, or storm lines, therefore they do not contribute to polluting or depleting the main bodies of water.
